Pauline Préteseille is a Paris-based art director and photographer.

Her practice moves between the body and objects, between performance and still life. She investigates how humans inhabit space, how materials, forms, and surfaces interact with presence and gesture. Bodies, objects, and environments exist in a state of tension, shaping one another in ways both subtle and precise.

Working with dancers, performers, and carefully composed arrangements, she treats bodies and things alike: as agents, carriers of movement, weight, and narrative. Each frame articulates the friction between control and surrender, between the tactile and the imagined, between what is built and what emerges.

Across commissioned and personal work, she creates visual systems where materiality, light, and spatial relationships become instruments of perception, a rigorous yet sensorial orchestration of the seen and the felt.
